Case Study: Music for a Commercial

The second of my articles on the MusicOff portal: In the last article I talked about various aspects of the work of a composer of music for images. We saw that the main objective is to comment on images by creating a musical identity that describes characters, situations, moods. Furthermore, music for images is subordinate to the video timeline, which makes creating closed sections that are easy on first listen a real challenge. As always happens, theory is one thing, getting to work is quite another. Upon receiving the commission, the composer can do very little other than begin the documentation work if they’re already totally sure of the genre they’re going to write. […] ...

Music for Images

The first of my articles on the MusicOff portal: The power of music associated with images is enormous and fascinating. Music strengthens and underlines every type of communication, enriching it with a level of depth otherwise unattainable. My ROC Composition Course

What is ROC? ROC (Rock Orchestration Course) is a composition and orchestration course that I structured together with Donato, starting from some of his input, and from what was my post-MCR experience! In particular, my need to express myself through composition and constantly improve this aspect that I consider to be the most important for an artist in the profound sense of the term. Teacher at RGA Milan

Yes indeed, dear friends. Starting this year I’m an instructor of two magnificent guitar courses, RLS Extreme and CCR Extreme, at the Rock Guitar Academy in Milan, via Ponte Seveso, near the central station. Donato Begotti’s school. It’s truly a wonderful place to teach, to learn and generally to “be”. Come visit me, I’m there every Thursday afternoon! Here’s the latest ad with my music: I’m satisfied with how I managed to score the various scenes! It’s also thanks to the great synergy achieved with the director and production team, the same as the two book trailers and Dark Resurrection. Many of the tricks I used in writing the music are topics in my ROC composition course ;) Your browser does not support the video tag.
