I would like to begin this last article by thanking the MusicOff community for the interest shown in my articles and those of my colleagues. Many emails have arrived with questions related to the topics covered, which I answered with pleasure and will be happy to answer future ones.
This time I want to tell you about one of the most formative experiences I’ve had the fortune to live: creating a course. The course in question is called ROC (Rock Orchestration & Composition), dealing with composition and the use of orchestra to enrich the arrangement of pop and rock songs.
I’ve always noticed how, especially in the compositional field, there is a notable difference in quality among various emerging bands and soloists. Just as many technically skilled artists penalize themselves with compositions of inadequate depth.[…]
