Eternal Life is a journey into Mesopotamian mythology at the time of the demigod king Gilgamesh. Each of the 6 tracks, which together reach a duration of 40 minutes, evokes an episode from the myth. The epic nature and intensity of the story are painted through prog metal with powerful riffs, elegant melodies and symphonic touches.

We are indeed in front of a little gem that exudes care, quality and passion from every pore, and which should be the example to follow for any group wanting to take the great leap into the progressive universe. CosmoCode is missing absolutely nothing: the result achieved at the “Ithil World” studios in Imperia is exciting and delivers a crystalline production, where every instrument finds its balance and nothing sounds awkward or smothered. Di Giorgi and company know well how to interpret the score, and craft six very substantial and classy tracks, where virtuosity is just one more weapon at the band’s disposal to embellish and refine some of the more complex passages, and not a crude and banal way to pad the content. The rhythm section, guitar and keyboards ensure an extremely high technical level and a cohesion that many other bands, even renowned ones, have not yet managed to achieve.
An excellently recorded EP (Ithil World Studios, Imperia) that, while not hiding a marked inspiration from Dream Theater and Symphony X, is very successful in its intricate song structures, ever-present melodies, and never-excessive display of technique.
